How we can help

Navigating the challenges of the art marketplace can be tricky. We work with estates, artists, and their families to create a plan that meets their goals.  Our primary objective is to advocate for our clients and resolve complex issues related to authentication, valuation, and sale of collections.

We work in our client's best interests by obtaining several quotations, negotiating contracts, and managing the sales processes.

  • Legacy planning

  • Collection management

  • Valuation and appraiser reports

  • Private sales and auctions

  • Managing and negotiating contract terms

  • Transparency during the sales process

  • Managing restoration, transportation, and storage

  • Museum loans and donations

  • Art acquisition and research

About

Knowing first-hand how difficult it can be to resolve an estate after a loss propelled Edie to start her advisory. The experience convinced her that her services and expertise could help others.

Having worked in the art business in London and New York, Edie taps into her extensive network of contacts to find the best possible solutions for clients. She tailors her approach to each project, coordinating all aspects of the estate procedures to help provide transparent communication that results in a positive experience for her clients.

Edie graduated from Lehigh University and received an MBA from Fordham University. She is on the board of directors of ArtTable, the national association of professional women in the visual arts, and serves on the Directors Advisory Council of the Lehigh University Art Galleries.

She started her career in marketing research at The New Yorker Magazine and worked for luxury brands such as Cartier and Asprey. While in London she collaborated with several art media companies. Edie’s experience also includes helping collectors loan art to museums, advising on AML regulations, and curating exhibitors at an international art fair.

Case Studies

Unearthing a Treasure

After visiting the home of a client we identified an interesting painting that the owner didn’t know much about. We worked with an appraiser with expertise in marine art to identify the artist. We then connected with the top auction house who agreed to sell it at their auction in May where it is estimated to sell in the mid five figure range.

Preparing a Home for Sale

Three siblings decided that they weren’t interested in keeping all of the inherited family silver. They weren’t sure what to do with it or if it was worth anything and needed to act quickly. We were able to find a buyer for the silver as a lot which helped to empty the contents of the home and prepare it for sale while realizing value for the heirs.

Discovering Artists

While helping a client identify young artists to invest in, we found Dana Piazza at a small gallery in Vermont. We fell in love with his meticulously hand-drawn abstract shapes and use of color and purchased his work in 2023. In 2025, Piazza will have a solo show at a top gallery and exhibit at the prestigious Dallas Art Fair in April.
